I met up with Will at North Pond in Lincoln Park as he waited for his girlfriend, Rosarin, to arrive after brunch with a friend. North Pond is one of the most popular proposal locations in Chicago because of its peaceful nature setting, skyline views, and beautiful light throughout the day.

Will waited with their dogs near the water while we prepared for the surprise proposal. Just a few minutes before Rosarin arrived, a large prom crowd gathered at the exact spot where Will planned to propose for photos. Thankfully, everyone patiently waited and gave the couple space for their special moment.

As Rosarin walked up, their dogs excitedly greeted her while Will took her hand and got down on one knee. She immediately said yes, and the moment was filled with emotion, excitement, and laughter. It was such a sweet and genuine proposal to document.

Afterward, we spent time walking around North Pond for engagement photos with the surrounding greenery creating the perfect backdrop. North Pond continues to be one of the best locations in Chicago for surprise proposals, engagement sessions, and couples photography because it offers both city views and a quiet natural atmosphere.
