In Korea, the marriage between a man and woman represents the joining of two families rather than the joining of two individuals. As such, the event was often called Taerye (Great Ritual). On June 10th, 2011, I had the opportunity to photograph the joining of Susan and Mike’s families. The traditional Korean wedding ceremony is at my favorite Korean restaurant, Woo Lae Oak http://woolaeoakchicago.com. Their wedding took place the next day, and I will have pictures up shortly. In the meantime, here are some colorful images from their ceremony.
