Last week, I had the privilege of photographing Ashley and Jason’s unforgettable wedding at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois. It was a special event not only because of the beautiful natural surroundings, but also because I had previously photographed Ashley’s sister’s wedding last year—so it was a joy to reconnect with many familiar faces and document another meaningful family celebration.
Ashley and Jason exchanged their personal vows during a serene ceremony by the lake. The lush greenery, reflective water, and soft light made for a peaceful and intimate setting.
The reception took place in the Sycamore Room at the Arboretum, a venue that truly felt like a tropical oasis. With vibrant, colorful décor and sunlight pouring through the floor-to-ceiling windows, the space looked like a modern greenhouse—perfect for a summer celebration.
One of the most heartfelt moments of the evening came during the speeches. Jason’s two sons delivered incredibly touching toasts. It was clear how deeply bonded they all are as a family, and I was honored to capture those genuine emotions.
The night ended with joyful energy on the dance floor, and before wrapping up, we took some romantic night portraits nearby.
Ashley and Jason’s wedding was a beautiful blend of nature, family, and joy—everything the Morton Arboretum is perfect for. I’m grateful to have been part of it.
