A Surprise Proposal at South Pond Bridge

A few weeks ago, Tanner reached out to me to photograph his surprise proposal to Rachel at South Pond in Lincoln Park. The bridge is one of the most iconic proposal locations in Chicago. It offers skyline views, peaceful walking paths, and beautiful evening light.

Family Hidden Nearby for the Big Moment

As Rachel arrived at the bridge, Tanner got down on one knee while I captured the proposal from a distance. Their families had secretly arrived earlier and hid nearby to witness the moment unfold. After Rachel said yes, everyone came out to celebrate and surprise her together. It made the proposal even more emotional and memorable.

After the proposal, we spent time walking around South Pond for a relaxed engagement session. The soft light, skyline backdrop, and natural scenery created the perfect setting for photos. Tanner and Rachel were smiling nonstop and completely enjoying every second together.
