A Memorable Day at Butterfield Country Club

It’s always nice to return to the beautiful Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook. This year, I had the great pleasure of documenting Caitlin and Thomas’s wedding, making it a truly special occasion.

Preparation and Ceremony

We started the day at the Oak Brook Hilton, capturing preparation moments filled with excitement and anticipation. Then, we headed to Visitation Roman Catholic Church in Elmhurst for their wedding ceremony. Despite knowing the likelihood of rain later in the day, everyone hoped that Mother Nature would hold off until the majority of our portraits were completed.

Adapting to the Weather

After the lovely ceremony, our plan was to take family portraits outside the venue. Unfortunately, just as we started with the wedding party portraits, the rain began. However, we made the best of the situation by utilizing the indoor space at the country club, which provided an elegant old-school vibe. Caitlin and Thomas remained unfazed, smiling throughout the day. Eventually, the rain stopped, allowing us to capture some beautiful outdoor shots showcasing the lush landscape of the venue.
