We had the opportunity to document Sydney and Charlie’s wedding at Northmoor Country Club in Highland Park, Illinois. It was especially meaningful because a few years earlier I photographed Sydney’s sister Emily’s winter wedding during a January blizzard. While their wedding days looked completely different, our documentary style remained the same, capturing genuine moments as they naturally unfolded.

Photographing weddings for siblings is always an honor. Seeing familiar faces creates a sense of trust and comfort that allows everyone to relax and enjoy the day. That comfort leads to natural photographs and authentic moments that truly tell the story of the wedding.

Sydney and Charlie shared a quiet first look before the ceremony, giving them time to enjoy a private moment together. We then explored the beautiful grounds of Northmoor Country Club for the wedding party, taking advantage of the scenic golf course and elegant surroundings.

The reception was full of energy, and one of the biggest highlights was the traditional Hora. Charlie and Sydney’s reactions as they were lifted into the air had everyone laughing and celebrating. From heartfelt moments with family to an incredible dance floor, the entire day was filled with joy, emotion, and unforgettable memories.
