Over ten years ago, I photographed Ben and Laurel’s wedding at Hotel Arista in Naperville. (View their wedding here). A few weeks ago, I had the joy of reconnecting with their family to photograph Ben’s brother, Jonathan, as he married Shellie.

Both Jonathan and Shellie grew up in Naperville. They held their ceremony at St. Raphael Catholic Church, a beautiful and welcoming space. One especially sweet moment? Shellie’s students came to watch their teacher get married. Their excitement and support added something truly special to the day.

After the ceremony, everyone headed to Mistwood Golf Club in Romeoville for the reception. The couple leaned into a fun, golf-inspired theme, from custom touches to golf ball details. Before dinner, we even stepped onto the course to hit a few balls off the tee. It made for some great photos and lighthearted moments.

The energy during the reception was incredible. Guests packed the dance floor from the first song to the last. Between emotional speeches and nonstop dancing, it was a celebration full of love, laughter, and joy.

This day reminded me why I love what I do—capturing moments that matter for families I’ve been lucky enough to follow through the years.
