I recently drove up to Madison, Wisconsin, to meet Sara and Gable for their engagement session. We started at the University of Wisconsin–Madison Arboretum, which gave us a gorgeous backdrop of greenery. Afterward, we headed downtown by the Wisconsin State Capitol building for a mix of romantic and candid city photos.

Sara and Gable were a joy to photograph. Their connection was effortless, and it showed in every image. I love engagement sessions that blend both nature and city settings. Madison offered the best of both worlds.

These two will tie the knot in St. Charles, Illinois next year, and I’m excited to document their wedding day. Starting with engagement photos is always meaningful. It gives us time to connect before the big celebration.
