Chris had an incredible reaction when he saw Kim, and people nearby even cheered for them as they embraced. Those spontaneous moments are always some of my favorites to photograph because they cannot be recreated.

After the first look, we explored the surrounding neighborhood for portraits before heading back to the venue. The West Loop area near Loft Lucia offers a great variety of textures and backgrounds for wedding photography, including modern architecture, industrial streets, and clean city lines that complement a documentary photography style.
Chris and Kim were effortless together, which allowed us to create portraits that felt natural and timeless. Instead of overly posed images, I focused on movement, interaction, and real connection between them.
