A Meaningful Celebration to Kick Off April
Maureen and Favin’s wedding at Artifact Events was an incredible way to start the first weekend of April. It was truly an honor to document their day, especially knowing that Favin reached out after remembering I had photographed his best man’s wedding years ago. Referrals like that are always meaningful and one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
Getting Ready at the Zachary Hotel in Wrigleyville
The day began at the Zachary Hotel in Wrigleyville, where both Maureen and Favin got ready. The hotel offers a clean and modern aesthetic with great natural light, making it a perfect location for wedding morning preparations.
They chose to do their first look there, which created a relaxed and intimate moment before the rest of the day unfolded. Maureen looked absolutely amazing in her wedding dress. She had an elegant and timeless presence and truly glowed in the soft natural light.
Chicago Skyline Photos at Montrose Harbor
Even with a light drizzle, we made the call to head to Montrose Harbor for wedding party photos. Chicago weather can be unpredictable, but it often works in your favor. The overcast skies gave us soft and even lighting with a timeless look, while the skyline created a beautiful backdrop.
Why Artifact Events Is One of the Best Wedding Venues in Chicago
Artifact Events is one of the most unique and visually striking wedding venues in Chicago. Known for its industrial architecture, exposed brick, and large windows, it offers a perfect mix of historic charm and modern design.
One of the biggest advantages of getting married at Artifact Events is its versatility. The space allows couples to host their ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one location, which helps the day flow seamlessly for both guests and vendors.
From a photography standpoint, the venue works beautifully year round. The natural light during the day and the warm ambient lighting at night create a consistent and inviting atmosphere that translates well in photos.
A Documentary Approach to Wedding Photography
Maureen and Favin’s wedding was a perfect example of a documentary style approach. The focus was on real moments, natural interactions, and the energy of their friends and family rather than overly posed portraits.
This approach works especially well at venues like Artifact Events, where the environment adds depth and character to every image.
A Night Full of Energy and Celebration
The night ended with a packed dance floor and an incredible celebration. There was so much energy in the room, and it was clear how loved Maureen and Favin are by everyone around them.
Planning a Wedding at Artifact Events
If you are planning a wedding at Artifact Events in Chicago, it is a venue that offers both flexibility and a unique visual experience. Whether you are dealing with unpredictable weather or planning everything indoors, it provides everything needed for a seamless and beautiful wedding day.
Weddings like Maureen and Favin’s are a reminder that no matter the season or conditions, it is always about the people, the connection, and the moments in between.
