I recently had the opportunity to photograph Aleks’ surprise proposal to Liliana at the Spruce Plot at the Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois.

I followed them into the woods, kept my distance, and waited for Aleks to ask the big question. Liliana admitted she had a feeling the proposal was coming, but that did not make the moment any less exciting!

After the proposal, we quickly moved to another area because the mosquitoes were especially aggressive after all the recent rain. We finished the session with some relaxed engagement portraits around the Morton Arboretum.

The Morton Arboretum is a beautiful location for surprise proposals and engagement photography, with wooded trails and natural settings that make it easy to capture genuine, candid moments.
