As a Documentary Photographer in Chicago, I encounter a myriad of unique stories with each assignment. However, Baltazar and Pilar’s love story truly stands out among them all. Originating from the vibrant culture of Mexico, Baltazar reached out to me with a heartfelt request: to capture his surprise proposal to his beloved Pilar against the majestic backdrop of the Chicago skyline.

In the enchanting setting of Milton Olive Park, overlooking the iconic cityscape, Baltazar’s vision for his proposal took shape. With meticulous attention to detail and seamless coordination, we ensured that every element of the surprise was flawlessly executed.

As Pilar and her sister Roico savored the breathtaking views from the lookout deck, they remained unaware of the imminent life-altering moment, heightening the anticipation for Baltazar. With each step closer, the gravity of the occasion intensified. Then, with the skyline as their witness, Baltazar dropped to one knee, professing his unwavering love and devotion to Pilar.

The sheer elation and disbelief that painted Pilar’s face in that pivotal moment were priceless. Tears of joy flowed freely as she embraced Baltazar’s proposal. It was an honor to capture such a poignant chapter in their journey together.
