Chicago Blackstone Hotel Wedding

I love this hotel. It exudes timeless and historic charm. I have a soft spot for Chicago architecture, and this hotel embodies it perfectly. Grace and Evan are avid Chicago Cubs fans, which is evident from some of the details of their wedding. That’s probably one of the reasons we were a perfect fit for their wedding photography. We headed across the street to Grant Park for some of their first look and wedding party portraits. It’s always great to have a first look and complete all your portrait pictures if you have a late start for your ceremony. This way, the couple has the opportunity to greet their guests and just enjoy the start of their celebration. As much as I like to take a journalistic approach to photographing weddings, we do have family picture obligations and portraits to complete, and I prefer to do that earlier in the day so after the ceremony, I can do what I do best: capture moments from the wedding.
