Here is Samantha and Christian’s wedding at the Witt Hotel. We lucked out with awesome weather for December. It was still a little cold as expected in the city, but good enough for some outdoor pictures. We started the morning with preparation pictures at the hotel. We had an amazing moment with Samantha’s first look at her father. He lost it instantly as he stepped into the room where she was waiting. From my experience, it was one of the best. After the marriage ceremony at Assumption Catholic Church in Chicago, we headed to the Chicago River Walk for some portrait pictures. We completed all the locations they wanted from their list before losing light outside. They were both great in front of the camera and I didn’t have to give them many directions. I like to limit directions to achieve more natural pictures of the bride and groom.

Another great moment was when Samantha and Christian were both surprised by the ice sculptures of their two dogs. This was gifted by Samantha’s mother the week of their wedding. Samantha couldn’t hold back the tears once she saw the sculptures in the reception room. Our night we ended with a night shot on the intersection of State and Wacker. I was hoping for more traffic for the shot I had in mind, but we still made it work. Here are some of the highlights from their wedding. We are now actively booking 2020 weddings.
