Salvage One is always a special venue, but there’s something about fall that makes it even more magical. The industrial charm, combined with the crisp autumn air, sets the stage for a perfect wedding. This time, we had the honor of documenting Chris and Sara’s wedding, and it was a day filled with emotional moments and unforgettable surprises.
Getting Ready: Quiet Moments of Love
The day began with Sara getting ready with her mother. It was one of those intimate moments that every photographer loves to capture—small gestures, tender smiles, and shared words of love. The bond between them was so clear and beautiful, and we were fortunate to document this quiet yet powerful part of the day.
The First Look: A Rooftop Moment
One of the most emotional parts of the day came when Sara shared her first look with her father on the rooftop of the Hyatt House. With the city skyline stretching out behind them, the soft autumn light made everything feel like it was right out of a movie. The joy and pride on her father’s face when he saw her for the first time in her wedding dress were simply priceless. It was an intimate moment that Sara and her father will always remember.
The Ceremony: A Sacred Exchange at St. Vincent DePaul
The ceremony took place at St. Vincent DePaul, a stunning church that added a sense of reverence to the day. As Sara walked down the aisle, the emotion in the room was palpable. When she reached the altar and saw Chris, her face lit up with pure joy. The connection between them was undeniable. It was a beautiful moment, full of love and anticipation for the life they were about to begin together.
An Unforgettable Performance: Sara’s Father Takes the Stage
After dinner, Sara’s father, an opera singer, took everyone by surprise with an extraordinary performance. As soon as he began to sing, the entire room fell silent. His powerful voice filled the space, and it felt as though time had slowed down. It was a moment of true artistry, and everyone was captivated. Even as a photographer, I had to remind myself to keep shooting instead of getting lost in the performance. The emotion and beauty of his voice made it clear that this wedding wasn’t just about two people coming together—it was about family, tradition, and shared moments that transcended the day.
A Day to Remember
From start to finish, Chris and Sara’s wedding was a perfect reflection of their love and the families that surround them. The day was filled with beautiful moments—whether it was the tender first look with her father, the emotional ceremony, or the stunning opera performance. We were so grateful to be part of their celebration and to capture memories that will last a lifetime.
