Hotel: Marriott Chicago Naperville
Church: St Peter & Paul Catholic Church Naperville
Reception: Cantigny Golf Club Red Oak Room
We were back at Cantigny Park’s Red Oak Room in Wheaton, Illinois, for Katie and Matt’s beautiful wedding celebration in early June. Cantigny is one of our favorite locations for wedding photography in the Chicago area, with its gardens, open spaces, and beautiful scenery surrounding the property.
Getting Ready in Naperville and Woodridge
The girls started their morning at Aria Salon in Woodridge, Illinois, where they enjoyed hair and makeup before heading back to the Marriott Hotel in Naperville to get dressed and ready for photos.
Meanwhile, the guys spent the morning at Matt’s parents’ house. There was good beer, a few games of poker, and plenty of laughs. Everyone was relaxed and having a great time. Even with the wedding day getting closer, Katie and Matt seemed completely calm and ready to celebrate.
Wedding Ceremony at St. Peter and Paul Church
Katie and Matt exchanged vows during a beautiful Mass at St. Peter and Paul Church in Naperville. It is one of our favorite churches to photograph in the western suburbs. The architecture and natural light provide a beautiful setting for wedding photography, while the ceremony itself gave us plenty of meaningful moments to document.
Wedding Photos at Cantigny Park
After the ceremony, we headed back to Cantigny Park for wedding portraits before the reception. The gardens and surrounding grounds gave us plenty of opportunities for natural, candid photographs of Katie and Matt, along with their family and wedding party.
From there, everyone continued to the Cantigny Golf Club for the wedding reception. It was a wonderful way to finish a relaxed and memorable wedding day.
Congratulations to Katie and Matt on your marriage! Thank you for giving us the opportunity to photograph your wedding day. We had a wonderful time documenting all of the moments, big and small. Here are some of our favorite highlights from their Cantigny Park wedding in Wheaton, Illinois.
