We kicked off Melissa and Ed’s engagement session on the roof of their condo, which offered breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. Although the day was overcast, the rain held off just long enough for us to capture some amazing shots of the city.

Melissa and I go way back—she was a bridesmaid at the Iowa City wedding I photographed earlier this year, so it’s always a pleasure to reconnect with familiar faces. I’m excited for their upcoming winter wedding in Chicago and the chance to capture even more special moments.
