Loft Lucia Intimate Wedding with Lisa and Herman

Earlier this month I had the great opportunity to photograph Lisa and Herman’s wedding at Loft Lucia in the West Loop. This was a solo wedding day coverage for me for most of the day. My assistant helped out during the cocktail hour to get some guest pictures as I was taking family pictures after the ceremony. I started my day with Herman and the guys to get a few prep pictures and then headed down the hall for Lisa to put her wedding dress on for one last time. Rather than going around the city for wedding party portraits, Lisa and Herman decided to take more of a relaxed approach and hang out at the venue before their wedding ceremony.

With the help from all the vendors on site, the ceremony set up looked amazing especially with golden the sun slightly shining through the windows. The wedding was a great mix of Asian and Latin cultures coming together. The night topped with some wonderful dancing and the DJ brought back the Gangnam style. I haven’t heard that in five years.
