Megan and Justin are set to tie the knot next March in Punta Cana, but before their destination wedding, they wanted to capture their love with some classic Chicago skyline engagement photos.

A Windy and Wild Adventure

As I headed to meet them, I passed Fullerton Beach and saw the waves crashing in hard. Immediately, I knew we had to incorporate that dramatic backdrop into their session. We started near Lincoln Park Zoo, making our way toward the lake, embracing the city’s natural beauty along the way.

Getting the Perfect Shot—At a Cost

To capture the waves in the background, I positioned myself close to the action—a little too close. A powerful tide rolled in, drenching my entire left side! Thankfully, my camera gear stayed safe, and the effort paid off with some incredible shots.
