This past weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph Alec’s surprise proposal to Ophelia at the beautiful Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool in Chicago. The couple traveled from North Carolina for a weekend trip. Alec chose this peaceful garden in Lincoln Park for a meaningful moment.

The Lily Pool is one of Chicago’s most serene locations. It features stone pathways, lush greenery, and soft natural light. The space feels hidden from the city and creates a private and romantic setting. It is a perfect location for a Chicago proposal.

Alec planned the moment carefully and led Ophelia through the garden. He then got down on one knee and proposed. Ophelia said yes!

After the proposal, we continued with a mini engagement session around the Lily Pool and nearby Lincoln Park areas.
