As a Chicago photographer, I had been eagerly anticipating the opportunity to photograph a wedding at the iconic Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago. When the inquiry finally came, I couldn’t contain my excitement. Known for its stunning venue and historic charm, the Knickerbocker Hotel is a dream location for any wedding photographer. I was particularly drawn to the idea of capturing the majestic lit dance floor, which I knew would present a challenge but also a fantastic opportunity to create breathtaking images.

An Unexpected Highlight: Meeting Jeff Ross

One of the most memorable moments of the day came unexpectedly. While in the financial district, we ran into none other than Jeff Ross, “The Roastmaster General.” He happened to be passing by and graciously took a photo with the wedding party. It was a surreal and exciting encounter that added an extra layer of fun and spontaneity to the day.
