I had the pleasure of spending a wonderful afternoon with Mike and Bethany, capturing their engagement photos in the vibrant heart of Chicago’s financial district. We kicked off the session with a relaxing cocktail at the W City Center, setting the perfect tone for a fun photo shoot.

I firmly believe in keeping things light and relaxed during photo sessions, especially for those who may feel a bit anxious in front of the camera. A couple of cocktails helped us all loosen up, and before we knew it, we were ready to capture some beautiful moments together.

As we roamed the area, we explored familiar spots from previous sessions while also discovering new locations to add variety to their photos. One highlight was the Quincy station, where Bethany commutes every morning for work. Capturing them against the backdrop of the train added a personal touch to their engagement photos.

We also made sure to stop by iconic landmarks like the Willis Tower to take advantage of the stunning light shining through the city buildings, adding a touch of urban romance to their photos.

With their wedding just a few months away at the Old Post Office, I couldn’t be more excited to continue documenting their love story as their documentary wedding photographer in Chicago.
