Sara & Matt’s Joyful Jewish Wedding at the Chicago History Museum

I’m thrilled to share my first wedding at the Chicago History Museum, and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to photograph. From the getting-ready moments to the lively reception, every part of the day felt meaningful and full of joy.

A Beautiful Start to the Day

Our morning began at the Westin Hotel on Michigan Avenue, where Sara and her bridesmaids prepped for the big day. Meanwhile, Matt and his groomsmen got ready at his parents’ home, which offered a stunning view of the lake. Despite the usual wedding-day nerves, both Sara and Matt remained calm and excited, ready to celebrate their love.

A Meaningful First Look and Portraits

For their first look and wedding party portraits, we headed to the Lincoln Park South Pond, a location that holds special significance for the couple. Their reactions were priceless, and the natural beauty of the park made for a perfect backdrop.

A Heartfelt Outdoor Ceremony

The weather couldn’t have been better for their outdoor ceremony at the Chicago History Museum. As guests arrived, the excitement grew. One of the most unique touches was the groomsmen personally greeting guests during the processional, creating an intimate and welcoming atmosphere.

A Celebration Filled with Energy and Emotion

The reception was an unforgettable mix of heartfelt moments and high-energy celebration. One of my favorite moments was capturing Sara’s reaction during the Horah dance. The joy, excitement, and trust in that moment were pure magic—a true highlight of the night.
