I’m thrilled to share my first wedding at the Chicago History Museum, and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to photograph. Our day began at the Westin Hotel on Michigan Ave for the girls’ prep pictures and Matt and the guys at his parents’ home overlooking the beautiful lake. Despite any wedding day nerves, Sara and Matt exuded calmness and joy throughout.

We chose the Lincoln Park South Pond area for our first look and wedding party portraits, as it holds special significance for the couple. As we made our way to the museum for the ceremony and reception, the weather was perfect for their outdoor ceremony.

The personal greetings from each groomsman during the processional added a unique touch to the day. One of my favorite moments was capturing Sara’s reaction as she was lifted during the Horah dance. It’s a moment you can’t rehearse, and her trust and excitement were palpable.

Overall, it was an amazing day, and I feel honored to have documented their special day. Here are some highlights from their unforgettable Chicago History Museum wedding, beautifully captured by a Jewish wedding photographer.
