Here is our first wedding of 2013 and what better way to start than with another Iowa Hawkeye bride. You have to really love pictures and be a little nuts to get married in January in Chicago. Which is why Melissa and Ed were a perfect match with us. The wedding party was so fun to be around and all of them were such troopers for putting up with the cold weather. It was great to see two of my favorite couples from last year and also to be working with another Iowa alumni, Jenna from Avant Gardenia. The staff at Cafe La Cave were so kind and very accommodating to us. Dinner was excellent! We ate everything on our plate and to top it all off, the fourth meal was Gene’s and Jude’s hotdogs!! The only bitter sweet thing about this wedding is that I’m not too sure when I would be photographing another wedding with all my Iowa brides together again. Anyways, congratulations to Melissa and Ed, you guys were fantastic from start to finish. Here are some of the highlights.

Jiho-you’ve outdone yourself again! One picture is more perfect than the next, they’ll have just as much difficulty picking out their pics as we did! HA! So funny that you mentioned it being bitter sweet, I asked Jenna when we’d see you again. I guess sometime you’ll have to bring Lauren to Chicago so we can all go out for drinks! Thanks again for capturing all our special days so beautifully!
