Bringing your Pets to your engagement session

I’m an animal lover and many of my clients are as well. We have a little French Bulldog of our own. He may be less than 20 pounds, but he is a handful. Having dogs in your engagement session is a great idea, but I have some suggestions that may help to make your photo session experience great.

Bring a third party to look after your dog once they are done with pictures. Most of the time, pictures with your pets will happen at the start of your session.  The other 2/3 of the time I want to focus on just the two of you without any distractions or stress for you guys. Having a third person to take them on a little walk will keep your mind focused on the session. Have treats ready to get their attention. A photo session is exciting for even the most well-behaved dogs. Having their favorite treat will help keep them motivated and help me to get that perfect shot. I also recommend taking them on a long walk before the photo shoot. We all love our dogs the most when they are tired. lol
