This had to be one of the most enjoyable weddings I have photographed this year. In most part because the whole wedding party was hilarious and very fun to work with. I’ve never laughed so much in a wedding as I did with Sarah and Mikey.  After the ceremony Sarah and Mikey wanted to stop at the Portillo’s (where I believe they had their first date) to pick up some hotdogs for everyone. Our plan after that was to take pictures at the Morton Arboretum but weather was not too kind to us. We had very heavy thunderstorms in the afternoon so we had to change our plans. Back up locations for pictures are very limited in the suburbs. It’s not like Chicago where we can walk in to a beautiful building and use it’s architecture as a back drop. We decided on York Town Mall in Lombard. My plan was to use whatever I can to make it fun and different. This wedding had a little bit of everything, including push ups on the dance floor. Yes Push ups! The big attraction of the night was a solo performance from Mikey on the dance floor showing off his hip hop moves. It was pretty entertaining and I can relate because I did the same thing at my wedding. Although I did the whole Michael Jackson “Billy Jean” routine from Motown.
